This website represents one of three associated LoewenLabs webpages.
These include:
Loewen Lab @ WCVM, University of Saskatchewan – Matthew Loewen – We are a physiology laboratory interested in studying the mechanism and effects of Calcium Chloride Channels as they modulate human and animal diseases. We specialize in patch clamp and Ussing chamber technologies.
Loewen Lab @ NRC – Michele Loewen – We are a Protein Biochemistry Laboratory located in the Plant Biotechnology Institute of the National Research Council of Canada, located on the University of Saskatchewan Campus. We investigate mechanistic aspects of membrane protein functionalities toward improving plant seed development, crop stress tolerance and human health.
Loewen Lab @ University of Manitoba – Peter Loewen – Our lab is located in room 410 of the Buller Building on the Fort Garry Campus of the University of Manitoba in south Winnipeg. This site is intended to describe research in the lab, to identify the people who are doing the work, and to provide access to the publications and PDB submissions that have resulted.
